Oh, PS-our new camera is the Canon Digi Rebel xti. It's a beginner's level SLR camera. The main thing is that instead of buying it in a kit, she got the body only and bought a separate lens. It's the Canon fixed 50mm f1.4 lens, which is making the difference in the quality of the pictures. However, it seems that for this set of pictures, something is a bit off...the focus point seems to be on the shoes. She also still needs to play around more with setting the aperture and ISO...it's one big learning process :)
